Three Wales was founded in 1995 to increase tourism within the former Soviet Union federation.  Based in Moscow, Three Wales arranges day, weekend, and extended excursions to Russia for group and individual travelers.  The company's philosophy is to allow participants to determine how, when and where in Russia they wish to travel and Three Wales can arrange everything from hotels to airport transfers to English speaking guides.  Three Wales general tour themes include history, art, architecture, military (including a WWII Battlefield Tour), from Moscow to St. Petersburg to Solovki.  All programs can be customized, combined, or minimized to produce each traveler's desired itinerary. 

A day-long excursion offered by Three Wales of particular interest is the Leo Tolstoy and Anton Chekhov Tour.  This day tour can be incorporated into any other weekend or extended tour offered in and around Moscow.  The day includes a visit to Melikhovo, home of playwright Anton Chekhov, as well as a stop in Yasnaya Polyana, home of Leo Tolstoy.  Visit Tolstoy's gravesite and library containing over 20,000 books and phonograph presented to him by Thomas Edison.
